Established in 17th October 2015 at Pegasus Reef Hotel, The Fishery was founded on an aspiration to ensure that seafood enthusiasts were given an option to experience fine dining in a contemporary setting. Today, this aspiration has transpired into making The Fishery renowned among patrons, local and foreign, families and corporates, as a restaurant that does not compromise on perfecting superior quality seafood.

The visual delight too, is combined across all facets of the restaurant; from the swanky interior and furniture

to the open architecture, from the heavily white theme to the ever-courteous staff, the smile on your face is sure to remain right throughout your dining experience. The Fishery overlooks the ocean, while bordering the hotel back lawn and pool area, making it the ideal setting to host corporate, social or even private events and gatherings. Aside from the availability of marquees on request to host events, the restaurant also has an open upper deck that is guaranteed to be the perfect venue for private dining or corporate cocktails after sunset, with a complementary view of the lit-up Colombo harbor in the distance.

Western cuisine, covers a range of appetizers, starters, Japanese options, and an engaging customizable seafood option.

Our Sous Chef Jayawardena Rajapaksha has 12 years of experience in the industry, having graduated from the Asian Lanka International Hotel School and School of Tourism specializing in professional cookery.

His proficiency across banquet, à la carte, multi-fine dining and high volume operations at many a leading Sri Lankan Hotel, including Mount Lavinia Hotel, Berjaya Mount Royal Hotel, Ceylon Continental Hotel and the Kingsbury Hotel, has made him the biggest star in our lineup at The Fishery.

His proficiency across banquet, à la carte, multi-fine dining and high volume operations at many a leading Sri Lankan Hotel, including Mount Lavinia Hotel, Berjaya Mount Royal Hotel, Ceylon Continental Hotel and the Kingsbury Hotel, has made him the biggest star in our lineup at The Fishery.

The accompanying staff members are also in a league of their own when it comes to ensuring guests have the best dining experience. We emphasize in the importance of efficiency and customer satisfaction, and encourage our staff to always understand the perfect fusion of menu items and available seafood in order to make recommendations to diners.

The in-house bar at the restaurant holds a wide range of wines and spirits, readily available to complement your dining experience. A range of desserts can also be found on the menu for those with a sweet tooth.
